• Orthopedic Trauma and Limb Salvage-- Dr. Schneekloth completed a 1-year Fellowship in Trauma/Reconstructive Foot and Ankle surgery in Pittsburgh, PA.
• Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery -- Dr. Schneekloth completed a 3-year residency in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery in Pittsburgh, PA.
• Forefoot Surgery-Dr. Schneekloth specializes in forefoot surgeries including bunions, hammertoes, fractures, arthritis related issues, and traumas. His training in state-of-the-art surgeries allows him to have the best possible outcomes with a fast recovery with minimally invasive incisions.
• Hindfoot and Ankle Reconstruction Surgery-Dr. Schneekloth also specializes in more advanced procedures including Lapidus, midfoot fusions, flatfoot reconstruction, Charcot neuroarthropathy, ankle fractures, trauma and reconstruction.
• Ankle Arthroscopy- Dr. Schneekloth is certified and trained in advanced arthroscopy leading to quick recoveries with minimal scar formation.
• Orthopedic Trauma-With training under the Department of Orthopedic Surgery with the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Schneekloth is certified in Trauma, Fractures and Reconstruction. This includes Ilizarov principles and technique, Charcot reconstruction, external fixation, intramedular nails, proper AO technique (Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Osteosynthesefragen) as well as minimally invasive plates and screws.
• Diabetic Limb Salvage and Foot Care- Dr. Schneekloth specializes in all aspects of foot care, from routine diabetic foot exams, to toenail and callus care, to prescription orthopedic shoes and custom braces. Dr. Schneekloth takes pride in his Diabetic limb salvage techniques.
• Advanced Wound Care-- Dr. Schneekloth specializes in comprehensive wound care for patients with chronic wounds. Treatment is offered for all aspects of wound healing, including: nutrition assessment, vascular assessment, dressing management, and addressing underlying conditions such as diabetes, lymphedema, or venous insufficiency. Wound debridement may be performed when necessary. Leading-edge treatments such as skin grafting and hyperbaric oxygen therapy are also available, if applicable.
• Plastic Surgery-Dr. Schneekloth was trained by plastic surgeons for the best surgical approaches with the least amount of scar formation. He also trained in skin flaps, tissue transfers and proper suture techniques for the best outcomes for his patients.
Personal
• Dr. Schneekloth played hockey for Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI and was team captain and president his senior year. He started playing hockey at the age of four and spent his summers teaching children at hockey camps. While also at Marquette University, he volunteered frequently with the Special Olympics and was on the Board of Biomedical Sciences for the College of Health Sciences. His Bachelors is in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Chemistry.
• Dr. Schneekloth received his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine at Barry University in Miami, FL. While attending, he was vice president of his class as well as President of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons. During his free time, he volunteered at a homeless shelter and played golf.
• Schneekloth completed a 3-year residency in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery in Pittsburgh, PA under the department of Orthopedic Surgery at UPMC Mercy. He was chief resident in 2016. He then completed a 1-year Fellowship in Trauma and Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr. Schneekloth was also the first UPMC fellow to have his fellowship approved by Council of Podiatric Medical Education.
• After his Fellowship, Dr. Schneekloth practiced for 5 years in Palm Springs, CA. He specialized in Forefoot Surgery, Hindfoot & Ankle Reconstruction, Ankle Arthroscopy, Orthopedic Trauma, Diabetic Limb Salvage & Reconstruction as well as Advanced Wound Care & Plastic Surgery. He had Hospital Privileges at Eisenhower Medical Center, Desert Regional Medical Center, and John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital.
